Wildlife Rehabilitation
Volunteer Project

2 WEEKS FROM R13 800 PP SHARING*

This is the mantra of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Your contribution will be to assist compromised, confiscated or orphaned indigenous wildlife in their preparation to be released back into the wild. Your care for these animals will include:

  • assisting with food preparation and feeding;

  • cleaning out enclosures and adding elements of enrichment (typically fresh leaves and branches);

  • monitoring animal behaviours;

  • attending any releases which might occur during your stay.

You role as a volunteer is an integral part in carrying out daily activities - caring for the animals at the centre. You can expect to care for animals including mongooses, bush babies, warthogs, antelopes, porcupines, birds and other wildlife.

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Release.

Why We Love This Project

Giving Back

Whilst many volunteer opportunities provide a sense of 'giving back', there is truly nothing more rewarding than assisting wildlife during their rehabilitation journey.

Get Experience in Animal Care

Each individual species at the centre during your stay will require a specific diet, feeding regime and plan for rehabilitation and release. Learn more about all kinds of wildlife.

Leisure Time & Excursions

To counter balance the hard work that takes place, volunteers are rewarded with plenty of down-time and are offered a wide range of excursions in the area.
